When a local Texas policeman and married father Steve Russell, turns to a life of crime, his subsequent stay in the state penitentiary results in new-found romance, falling for his fellow inmate named Phillip Morris. However when Philip is set free, Steve is led to escape, four times, in order to keep his love alive.
